Coronation Street spoilers follow.

In Coronation Street episodes airing next week, Aggie Bailey will get tough with Debbie Webster following the shock accident involving Aggie's husband Ed.

This Friday (July 15), Ed suffers a nasty electric shock which leaves him unconscious while doing some work on a radiator at Debbie's hotel.

Debbie starts to realise that it could be her fault as she doesn't remember the last time the hotel got a safety inspection, and it's not long before Aggie comes to the same realisation.

Next week, Debbie is still concerned about being held responsible for Ed's accident, as well as Aggie's legal threats and determination to make Debbie face the consequences for endangering her husband's life.

In the Bistro, a stressed Debbie tells Ronnie that Ray (the hotel's previous owner) cancelled the professional indemnity insurance, which normally covers the cost of compensating clients for loss or damage resulting from negligent services.

Hoping to make up for the damage she's caused, Debbie arrives at the hospital with a cheque for Ed and Aggie.

But Aggie tells her that it's not nearly enough and advises Debbie to hire a lawyer, since they've already hired Adam Barlow as their own.

Debbie and Ronnie are both taken aback by this and scramble to find a way to appease Aggie.

Later in the week, Debbie calls at No. 3 and offers Ed £30,000 in compensation. Aggie makes it clear that Debbie's got two weeks to pay up before she goes ahead and takes legal action.

Will Debbie get the money together in time?
