Coronation Street's Yasmeen Metcalfe will open up about her feelings regarding her stay in prison as her trial looms.
In scenes airing next week, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) visits Yasmeen (Shelley King) at prison. Yasmeen, who has been charged with attempted murder, reveals that she is dreading going to court.

Yasmeen then adds that, at least in prison, she feels safe away from her evil abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew). She suggests that she might even prefer staying behind bars.
Alya is upset by this heartbreaking admission, as questions are raised over whether Yasmeen will put up a fight at her trial.

Meanwhile, Geoff's attention is on Tim and Sally's wedding day, after he learns that he has deliberately been kept in the dark over their secret ceremony.

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 7.
