Craig Tinker star Colson Smith has discussed how Coronation Street will address the transformations of its cast throughout lockdown.
Colson himself has lost weight during the filming hiatus, so the soap's production team has a very real issue of maintaining consistency from before the coronavirus arrived.
While presenting YouTube show Corrie Good News, Colson showed off his new bleach-blonde hair and stubble.

He explained to viewers: "Our make-up department at Corrie are fantastic and they are working really hard on joining the dots on the way people look before and after lockdown.
"For the more extreme cases, our scriptwriters are adding in bits to the script where people comment on other people's new looks. So yeah, I'm hoping that someone's gonna say something about my hair.

"On a serious note, for me, I've always seen Craig as clean-shaven and ginger. So this [facial hair] will go and probably have to chop this [hair dye] out."

Just last month, the star joked about the extreme situation he finds himself in since losing weight.
"We are in direct continuity, but I've almost lost about 10 stone since we left work so I'm not sure that [my hair] is going to be the biggest of their issues.
"I might be wearing a wig and a fat suit when we go back."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
