Coronation Street is planning to film a car stunt, as production on the ITV soap resumes.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media in a virtual press conference this week, producer Iain MacLeod shared that two characters will be in danger.
One character will be knocked out of the way by another, with MacLeod explaining that social distancing measures will still be adhered to.

"For characters who don't live in the same household, we've decided to emphasise the social distancing as we have to normalise it," he said. "If two people who don't live together meet on the street, you will definitely notice them consciously keeping their distance. The directors have been asked to.
"We are also embarking on our first post-pandemic car stunt. It's two people in particular jeopardy who look like they're on top of each other.

"There will be cheating when a character is knocked out of the way of a vehicle. There are ways of cheating that, so it looks like there is physical contact."

Elsewhere, MacLeod confirmed that there will be a time jump to account for the COVID-19 pandemic, and those in more vulnerable groups such as older actors will be written out for the time being although they may appear briefly on video call.
"We're taking advantage of the post-pandemic work which is now normal, such as video calling. We are accessing that and it's an interesting challenge. Plans are afoot in that regard," he said.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
