Coronation Street's Kym Marsh has admitted that she is a little "nervous" about her exit as Michelle Connor.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the star confirmed that the decision to leave the cobbles after more than a decade was hers, but hinted that a return is more than possible.

"It's going to be strange and there's a little bit of nervousness there, but I'm ready for it," she said. "I want to try new things before I'm too old.

"My last day will be emotional, and I'll cry my eyes out.

"It's my decision to go, but they're kindly leaving the door open and I'd like to think I'd go back one day."

Kym will be presenting five-part daytime series For Love or Money alongside Ashley John-Baptiste. But she reiterated her desire to continue acting and take on roles very different to Michelle.
