Coronation Street has revealed full details of the show's upcoming fire storyline, which will see Fiz Stape's daughter Hope under suspicion.
The ITV soap has confirmed reports that Hope (Isabella Flanagan) will get caught up in a dangerous blaze at Underworld next week, sparking fresh concerns over her behaviour.
When Fiz bickers with her partner Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) after returning to Weatherfield, Hope takes the opportunity to sneak out of the house while they're both distracted.
Hope snoops around the empty factory building, but it's not long before the situation gets dangerously out of hand. Ali Neeson (James Burrows) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) are setting off for a charity ball when they hear Hope screaming from Underworld.

Realising that Hope is surrounded by burning boxes, Ali forces his way inside and rescues her.

Fiz and Tyrone are hugely relieved as Hope has escaped unharmed, but the big question is how the fire started in the first place.
Under scrutiny from the police, Hope claims that two lads caused the fire before running from the scene of the crime.
Knowing Hope's history of destructive behaviour, Tyrone doesn't believe her and it seems that the family's troubles are far from over.

Once again, Hope's loved ones aren't on the same page, as Fiz believes her daughter's tearful promises that she had nothing to do with the fire. Is Fiz kidding herself? And how will Tyrone respond to her burying her head in the sand?
Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, revealed: "When Fiz returns, the hope is that Hope's problems have been resolved. We've been away for nine months, and in this time Fiz has supposedly been working on Hope's behaviour.
"Allegedly it's improved, but as with all things with Fiz, there is much more going on as the audience scratch beneath the surface.

"Fiz keeps things under wraps after the fire. She knows that Hope's behaviour hasn't improved, and has an inkling that there's more to find out about the starting of the fire.
"Tyrone becomes a bit suspicious of Hope, and Fiz almost exhausts herself emotionally by reassuring those closest to her that her daughter isn't capable of anything like this. It then becomes apparent that Hope may be getting worse."
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, September 2 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
