Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has celebrated a huge soap milestone with her fans as she remembers the day that marked her debut on the ITV soap 13 years ago.
Kym shared a picture of one of her character's first press photos on Instagram this week, with the singer-turned-actress looking (unsurprisingly) a lot more like the Kym we remember from Hear'Say than the Michelle Connor we know and love today.
"13 years ago today I made my @coronationstreet debut!!!" Kym wrote. "What a 13 years that has been! Thank you so much for the great times, the things I’ve learned and the opportunities I have been given in playing Michelle Connor!!"

Of course, as throwbacks go this is a bit of a bittersweet one, as earlier this year Kym confirmed that she will be taking a break from the soap as she wants to explore other roles.
"When I was lucky enough to be offered four episodes I could never in my wildest dreams have thought I'd be here 13 years later," Kym said.

"It's been an incredibly difficult decision but it feels like the right time for me to explore some other roles. But this isn't the last you’ve heard of Michelle Connor – she'll be back! I can't wait to see what the writers have in store for the future."
As for Kym's future, the star has already lined up her next project as she'll be joining the cast of Elf the musical in December, playing Zooey Deschanel's character Jovie.
She's also set to become a grandmother in the next few months as well, as she confirmed back in November that her daughter Emilie was expecting her first child – just don't call her "grandma".
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
