Coronation Street viewers can expect heartbreak later this year, as Sarah Platt will break up with Gary Windass.

Sarah (Tina O'Brien) will call time on the couple's relationship in the summer to protect her children, reports The Sun.

Gary (Mikey North) currently owes thousands to dangerous loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood), and will be forced to do the villain's dirty work next week as Gary has no way of raising the cash and paying him back.
