Coronation Street airs a new setback for Nick Tilsley next week as his guilt over Audrey Roberts's missing money could finally be exposed.
Nick (Ben Price) panics when he learns that the police will be probing the Underworld business accounts as part of their investigation into the factory roof collapse.
Next week's episodes see a temporary factory open in the community centre, allowing Nick and Carla Connor's workforce to earn a living again.
When police come calling at the new location one afternoon, they demand access to the company accounts.
Sarah (Tina O'Brien) is happy to help and hands them straight over, but Nick is horrified when he finds out what she's done.
Nick confides in David that he's worried the police could spot Audrey's money in the accounts if they look closely enough at the figures.
What to Read Next
Nick admits that he fears a prison sentence if the truth about Audrey's money is exposed, but all he can do is sit tight and hope for the best.
Viewers know that Nick stole £80,000 from Audrey at the start of the year. There have been no developments in the case recently, as everyone believes that Lewis Archer scammed Audrey before he died.
Nick later covered his tracks by putting some of the money in the Underworld accounts – a decision that could now come back to haunt him.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, April 12 at 7.30pm on ITV.
