Much like fans of Coronation Street, David Platt is wasting no time in playing amateur detective after the devastating roof collapse at Underworld.

In scenes set to air tonight (March 20), David pins the blame on brother Nick Tilsley, after growing suspicious over Nick's reaction to hearing the news of the disaster.

"You didn't seem that surprised when you heard about the roof," David told Nick, before implicating him directly. "Unless you wanted the roof to collapse."

"You think I had something to do with it?" Nick asks.

"Yeah, I do think it's something you're capable of," David replies.

Thanks to his devious past and unrelenting money troubles, it's no surprise that Nick is a formal suspect of the roof collapse – but is David right to believe that his brother could be capable of deliberately sabotaging Carla Connor's factory and livelihood?

Only time will tell.

Elsewhere, as the aftermath of the incident continues, Corrie fans have been busy throwing a number of names into the ring as they try and figure out who sabotaged the factory.

After yesterday's trip to the cobbles, viewers became increasingly suspicious of Gary Windass and Robert Preston, potential suspects who both have a motive, a shaky alibi, and a penchant for looking guilty.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
