Coronation Street and EastEnders will face a rare scheduling clash next week.
Fans of both soaps will be left with divided loyalties over which to watch live when the two shows go head-to-head for 30 minutes on Friday, March 29.
ITV has scheduled in an hour-long Coronation Street at 7.30pm that night, focusing on the continued aftermath of the Underworld roof collapse death.
EastEnders will air in its usual slot of 8pm, which means airing against the last 30 minutes of Corrie. The BBC soap also has a big episode that night, as Tiffany Butcher's troubles with gang leader Evie Steele escalate.
ITV has shifted Friday's Corrie into an hour-long format on two other occasions recently, which prompted BBC One to push EastEnders back to 8.30pm.
On this occasion, the channel has opted to keep EastEnders in its usual Friday slot – which means it's the two soaps' first head-to-head battle since New Year's Day.
