Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs realises that Mary Taylor could have feelings for him next week.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) fears that Mary may want to make a move on him while his partner Fiz Stape is living away from Weatherfield.
Viewers know that Fiz is currently staying in Birmingham after enrolling her daughter Hope in a special school to help address her behavioural issues. The storyline has been written in to explain Jennie McAlpine's real-life maternity leave.
Next week, Tyrone starts to struggle as the pressures of work and parenthood take their toll, but help is at hand thanks to Mary (Patti Clare).
At Dev Alahan's suggestion, Mary heads over to look after Ruby for a while – giving Tyrone a much-needed break.
Mary insists that she doesn't want any payment as she just likes to feel needed, especially after the recent departures of Angie and baby George.

Playing detective, Tyrone and Kevin order some flowers and ask Mary to write the card for them.
