Casualty is lining up a new setback for Robyn Miller ahead of her exit.

Last month, Robyn proposed to Paul Pegg on the ward, with the pair getting engaged and subsequently agreeing to move back up north to Wigan.

With her exit on the cards, the nurse will suffer a setback in the next episode (Saturday March 4), which begins as she’s offered tickets to a popular event.

She asks Jacob if she can leave early to attend, but he denies her request given how busy the ward is. He becomes even angrier with her as she tends to the patients instead of clearing the beds, with the boss feeling she isn’t pulling her weight despite Max’s protestations.

Realising that he’s potentially been a bit too hard on her, he relents and says she can go home early, but she snaps as she reveals it was never about her, but instead she feels Marty is the one who needs cheering up.

Feeling deflated, Jacob walks in on Marty as he’s trying to arrange an appointment with the dentist. Fearing the worst, Marty assumes he’s about to get a telling-off, but Jacob surprises him by revealing he can take the rest of the afternoon off.

After some thinking, Jacob begins to wonder why Marty is travelling all the way to Bristol for a routine check-up, and realises that Marty is attempting to go to the event that Robyn had tickets for.

Marty pleads with Jacob to let him go, but he informs him that he doesn’t want to be taken for a fool and orders Marty to get back to work.

With Jacob clearly feeling the strain, just how will the morale in the camp improve in the coming weeks? And how will Robyn react to the latest incident?

Casualty airs on Saturdays on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
