Lucy Hale has spoken about her recent stint hosting the MTV VMAs and Harry Styles's twerking.
The Pretty Little Liars actress spoke to Company Magazine about her presenting job, describing it as "amazingly terrifying".
Hale explained: "It was so great to host some live television as it really scared me, but that made it so rewarding when I'd done it."
On Styles's impromptu twerking performance, she said: "We were told by the producers that One Direction had to leave straight after their performance so were surprised to see Harry and Zayn in the audience.
"So we hadn't rehearsed it when we asked Harry to twerk. He was so great - a total team player."
Hale, who is about to release a country album in the UK, said that she is not worried about the genre's lack of commercial success outside of the US, stating that "all good music translates".

The 24-year-old went on to discuss her body image and hangups, explaining: "You're in front of a camera all day, so of course some days you wake up and feel gross, but in the past year I've gotten better. My body is normal and I'm not trying to prove anything."
