There aren't many things that could shock us when it comes to what the rich and famous get up to at festivals, but Marcus Mumford's Glastonbury antics were... erm, a little less rock and roll than we were expecting.

Although, in fairness, they do involve a bit of attempted theft.

Chatting to Chris Moyles on Radio X this morning (December 16), the Mumford & Sons frontman revealed how the organisers at Glasto had "had enough of" the band after they performed.

"We came off stage and I tried to nick a sofa from the dressing room," Marcus admitted (via Female First). "[We] got chucked out... They'd just had enough of us by the end." Ooh-er.

After Mumford & Sons performed back in 2010 at the festival, the build-up and scale of the occasion clearly overcame the band. (It had nothing to do with any alcohol or anything.)

"And then, we came off... and I wanted a sofa! I really wanted a sofa," Marcus explained. Well, we guess that's as good a reason as any.

While there are a few months to go until Glastonbury 2017 kicks off, that still hasn't stopped us from speculating over next year's headliners - and any potential sofa thieves.

Hotly tipped to headline alongside the already-confirmed Radiohead is none other than Ed Sheeran. Foo Fighters are also in contention for a top performing spot, as is Lady Gaga.
