A first trailer for The Social Reckoning, Aaron Sorkin's companion piece to David Fincher's The Social Network, has just been released, giving fans a glimpse of Mikey Madison as whistleblower Frances Haugen and Succession's Jeremy Strong as Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.

The Anora star plays Frances Haugen, a former Facebook data engineer who in 2021 leaked internal documents to The Wall Street Journal after becoming disillusioned with the company and what she saw as its negative impact on youth and role in spreading violence and misinformation.

The Bear's Jeremy Allen White stars as reporter Jeff Horwitz, with the starry cast rounded out by Wunmi Mosaku, Bill Burr, Billy Magnussen, and Betty Gilpin, among others.

The tense trailer sees Madison's Haugen approach Horwitz with the goal of building a better Facebook, though the whistleblower is faced with multiple hurdles along her path.

"I'm a free speech absolutist," Strong's Zuckerberg says in the trailer, as he jokingly describes himself as "a professional defendant".
