The first teaser trailer for a brand new film based on a beloved children's novel has finally arrived.
Starring Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, and Nicola Coughlan, The Magic Faraway Tree will be released in UK cinemas on March 27, based on the best-selling children's classic by Enid Blyton.
An official synopsis reads: "The Magic Faraway Tree follows Polly (Claire Foy), Tim (Andrew Garfield), and their three children - a modern family forced to relocate to the remote English countryside.
"As they adapt to their new lives, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents, including treasured characters Moonface (Nonso Anozie), Silky (Nicola Coughlan), Dame Washalot (Jessica Gunning), and Saucepan Man (Dustin Demri-Burns).
"At the top of the tree, they are transported to spectacular and fantastical lands and, through the joys and challenges of their adventures, the family learn to reconnect and value each other for the first time in years."

What to Read Next
The first teaser trailer introduces us to the world of The Magic Faraway Tree, penned by Paddington 2's Simon Farnaby.
It introduces us to Tim, Polly, and their brood as they stumble upon the tree itself - and the magical world it leads to - during a family outing.
"There's this wood where we're going, filled with the most beautiful trees," Garfield's Tim begins, much to the disappointment of his children.
A quaint montage shows the family adapting to their new life in the countryside and making a home out of a ramshackled barn, meeting the locals – who warn the children not to go into the woods, warning them that it is "enchanted" and full of "strange creatures".
Of course, middle child Fran doesn't listen, and is transported to a picturesque, fairytale land, greeted by Coughlan's Silky – who introduces her to her magical friends.
Silky shows Fran and her siblings each of the magical lands that The Faraway Tree can transport them to, declaring there isn't a bad one among them – apart from the land of Dame Snap, played by Rebecca Ferguson.
The star-studded cast is rounded out by Nonso Anozie, Jessica Gunning, Dustin Demri-Burns, Mark Heap, Oliver Chris, Sir Lenny Henry, Sir Michael Palin, Sir Simon Russell Beale, and Jennifer Saunders.
