Wicked: For Good's final trailer has arrived ahead of its November release in cinemas, and fans can now take an extra peek at Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in action ahead of the eagerly-awaited movie launch. Wicked 2's emotional final trailer was released by Universal today and teases more of Glinda and Elphaba's struggling friendship as they navigate conflict amid the changes in Oz.

The new footage also gives moviegoers another glimpse of Dorothy's journey to Oz along the iconic Yellow Brick Road. We first see Dorothy's Kansas home come crashing down into the magical land from a tornado, before she's joined by the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow in her ominous meeting with the Wizard of Oz.

Alongside this, the Wicked 2 trailer teases some dark twists that are to come. We see a moment of horror for *a certain someone* as they are transformed into the Tin Man by Elphaba, exclaiming: "What have you done to me?". Of course, fans will have to watch the movie for the full reveal.

As we patiently wait for the movie's November release, we do at least know the confirmed soundtrack for the sequel. It will include two new songs, one for Erivo's Elphaba and Grande's Glinda.

"In addition to two brand new songs, there is a lot that’s new in several other existing songs," said composer Stephen Schwartz.

What to Read Next

"So not only listeners coming to the score for the first time, but long-time fans of the original Broadway cast album, will have a great deal to discover."

The stars have also been teasing just how the new movie will handle the increased presence of iconic Wizard of Oz character Dorothy. It seems we won't be seeing her face to allow viewers to "keep the Dorothy that they know".

What's more, Glinda is a "little shady" towards Dorothy when they do interact with each other in the movie.

"I love the little bit of shadiness that Glinda has towards Dorothy," Grande joked. "There's a lot going on, and she doesn't really have time to deal with this. She could have told her to take the Emerald City train! But she didn't."

Wicked: For Good is released in cinemas on 21 November.
