28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is coming in January, and we've now been treated to the excellent first trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel, which you can check out above.
As with 28 Years Later, the trailer is more of a mood setter for Nia DaCosta's follow-up which will focus more on Dr Kelson (Ralph Fiennes), potentially fleshing out his relationship with infected Alpha, Samson (Chi Lewis-Parry).
We also see Spike (Alfie Williams) firmly embedded into the cult of Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell), even sporting that instantly-recognisable (for better or worse) blonde haircut and, as the synopsis teases, finding himself in "a nightmare he can't escape".
The one thing the trailer doesn't reveal is the return of Cillian Murphy's Jim, although we know it won't come until the end of the sequel as a set-up for the potential third movie, so we might not see Jim before the movie's release.
We knew the trailer was coming today after Rolling Stone released a first-look at 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple yesterday.

While Alex Garland has returned to pen the screenplay, there has been some change behind the scenes as Nia DaCosta has replaced Danny Boyle in the director's chair, though the latter is a producer on the film.
"The thing that connects the two is that they’re both bonkers, idiosyncratic and very artistically personal works," teased DaCosta.
"It's so hard to describe the tone of the [film] that I actually won’t even attempt to. But it keeps the same unique, off-the-wall, surprising energy."
"This film is the weird, deranged cousin to 28 Years Later," added O'Connell. "We see how much nature is the unstoppable force at the end of the day… I don't think the infected are purely antagonists in our film. It definitely will make you consider that."
