As expected in the current Hollywood world of sequels and reboots, another franchise has been spawned from a DreamWorks animation.

The Boss Baby – hilariously voiced by Alec Baldwin while he's not doing his similarly brilliant impersonations of Donald Trump – is getting a big promotion in the form of a sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As those who saw the first film will know, the baby in question can talk and happens to be part of a secret-agency-type organisation and to enjoy wearing suits, just like the average baby when we're not looking.

He also fancies seeing his portrait hanging on walls for eternity and really, really wants a golden toilet. Obviously.

The first film also starred Steve Buscemi, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy Kimmel and Tobey Maguire, but we'll have to wait and see if they come back for the sequel.

Based on Marla Frazee's picture book series, it was pretty much guaranteed to get a follow-up as there are already stories there for scriptwriters to delve into.
