Fox has done a massive schedule reshuffle, resulting in The Greatest Showman on Earth being pushed back a year.

Hugh Jackman stars as circus impresario P.T. Barnum in the film, which will now hit US cinemas on December 25, 2017, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Instead, Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children has nabbed the Christmas Day 2016 spot, pushing it back from it's original March 4, 2016 release date.

Animated film Boss Baby had been scheduled to open on January 13, 2017, but has now been moved to March 10, 2017 taking Captain Underpants' release date.

No new date for the film has been scheduled.

The studio announced dates for three upcoming films, including space-race drama Hidden Figures, which has been given a January 13, 2017 US date.

Supernatural horror film The Other Side of the Door, will be released in US cinemas on February 26, 2016 with the Bryan Cranston and James Franco comedy Why Him? following on November 11 next year.
