Fresh off its Oscars success, One Battle After Another has finally landed on a streamer in the UK. Originally released in cinemas last year, the action-thriller stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a former revolutionary who is drawn back in to his old life when a past enemy resurfaces.
Partly based on Thomas Pynchon's 1990 novel Vineland, the film comes from writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson, and features a stellar cast including Benicio del Toro, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn and Regina Hall.
UK-based viewers can now catch One Battle After Another via HBO Max, which has launched in the country today. Viewers can also stream the film via Sky Cinema and NOW, if you have a Sky Cinema membership.

HBO Max with ads also comes as part of NOW and Sky packages, including Sky Ultimate TV – which costs £22 a month and also includes Netflix, Disney+, Hayu and Discovery+.
One Battle After Another took home six gongs at the Academy Awards earlier this month, including Best Picture, Best Director and Adapted Screenplay for Anderson, Supporting Actor for Penn, as well as the inaugural Best Casting Award for Cassandra Kulukundis.

Sitting at a near-perfect 94% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 437 reviews, the thriller was called a "stone-cold masterpiece" by Rolling Stone, who suggested that it is "without a doubt, the movie of the year".
"From start to finish, One Battle After Another is a mighty 162 minutes of danger, comedy, excitement, love, sex and confusion," added Time Out, while HeyUGuys labelled it "cinema at its purest – uncompromising, exhilarating and alive".

"In years to come, when this appears on TV late at night, it’ll be impossible to switch off. It’s just one of those films. A stone-cold, instant classic," wrote Empire Magazine.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter suggested it was a "frightening and galvanizing vision", with Anderson "putting away his complicated nostalgia for old (and more easily understood) days to confront, with disarmingly noble purpose, the here and now".
One Battle After Another is streaming now on HBO Max, Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK.
