All of Us Strangers star Andrew Scott is set to star in Justine Triet's upcoming psychological thriller, Fonda. The film, which will mark Triet's English-language debut, will also star Frankenstein's Mia Goth as well as Candyman's Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.

Deadline reported that Urchin's Frank Dillane is among the cast, while I, Tonya's Allison Janney is "in talks for a key role".

The publication claimed Fonda will be led by X trilogy star Goth, who "impressed Triet so much she was offered the lead" after originally being in a supporting role.

Fonda will see Triet reunite with Anatomy of a Fall producers Marie-Ange Luciani and David Thion.

An official synopsis reads: "A psychological thriller set in a seemingly idyllic huis clos, Fonda takes us on a vertiginous dive into the shifting limits of a sound mind, as grief and obsession take hold."

Further casting information is yet to be released, while filming is reportedly set to begin this spring.

Mk2 Films will be handling sales, with managing director Fionnuala Jamison saying in a statement: "Fonda promises to bring audiences another major cinematic moment by delving into the depths of the human mind and resurfacing as a thriller of rare intelligence and emotional force destined to be a top awards contender and box office hit.

"We’re thrilled to be embarking on this new journey with the Anatomy of a Fall team and to have Studiocanal on board."

Fonda will be Triet's first film since Palme d'Or-winning 2023 hit Anatomy of a Fall, which went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

In the same year, Scott's performance as Adam in All of Us Strangers won him the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Actor and the London Film Critics' Circle Award for Actor of the Year.

The role also saw him rake in nominations at the Golden Globes, the Gotham Independent Film Award, the British Independent Film Award, the Independent Spirit Award, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association
