Modern classic thriller Parasite has become available to stream for free in the UK. The 2019 South Korean movie from director Bong Joon Ho focuses on a poor family who infiltrate the lives of a rich household.
Viewers in the UK wanting to catch the film can now do so via ITVX, where it is streaming free of charge (though with ads).
Starring Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam and Jang Hye-jin, Parasite follows the financially struggling Kims, who come up with a scheme to get jobs with the wealthy Parks – the latter unaware that they are all one family. However, events take a twisted and shocking turn.
The movie sits at a near-perfect 99% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with Time Out calling it a "dazzling work" that is "surprising and fully gripping from beginning to end, full of big bangs and small wonders".
Empire further labelled it "a miracle of a film" and "a riotous social satire that’s as gloriously entertaining as it is deeply sardonic", while Detroit News suggested it was "a fitting movie for our times".
