Tom Hardy's debut movie Black Hawk Down has landed a new UK streaming home. Released in 2001, the acclaimed war film is directed by Ridley Scott.
Fans in the UK wanting to catch it can now do so via Prime Video after being made available on the streamer.
Marking Hardy's first credited movie role, Black Hawk Down takes place during 1993's Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia, as two Black Hawk helicopters are brought down while trying to give humanitarian aid, with soldiers trying to survive under heavy gunfire.
The film boasts an impressive wider cast including Oppenheimer's Josh Hartnett, Star Wars' Ewan McGregor, Dirty John's Eric Bana, Saving Private Ryan's Tom Sizemore, Mom's William Fichtner and Mud's Sam Shepard.
Drawing acclaim with a 77% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, TIME said Black Hawk Down "takes its place on the very short list of the unforgettable movies about war and its ineradicable and immeasurable costs".

What to Read Next
"A triumph of pure filmmaking, a pitiless, unrelenting, no-excuses war movie so thoroughly convincing it’s frequently difficult to believe it is a staged re-creation," added the Los Angeles Times.
Empire further called it "ambitious, sumptuously-framed and frenetic", adding that while it "occasionally errs on the confused", it is "nonetheless a rare find of a war movie which dares to turn genre convention on its head".
The Midwest Film Journal added: "No film from The Zeroes – hell, maybe ever – more forcefully imparted the horrors of war as thoroughly, coherently and hauntingly as Black Hawk Down."
In other news, Hardy's 2017 period drama series Taboo was recently re-added to BBC iPlayer, having initially been removed from the service earlier this year.
The show was co-created by Hardy alongside his dad Chips and Steven Knight, and follows an adventurer thought to be dead who returns from Africa and inherits his family's shipping company.
Black Hawk Down is streaming now on Prime Video.
