Stephen Graham's forgotten crime drama movie Orthodox has landed a new UK streaming home. Originally premiering back in 2015, the film follows a Jewish boy who takes up boxing to defend himself, and finds himself in the middle of devastating events as an adult.
If you didn't catch it when it was originally released or fancy a rewatch, the movie has become available to stream on Prime Video in the UK.
Orthodox focuses on Benjamin "a boy bullied for his Jewish faith" who "takes up boxing as a means of self-defense, alienating himself from his religious community".
"As an adult caught between two worlds, his desperation to provide for his family becomes the catalyst for a devastating series of events that ensures he may never find the acceptance he has always craved," the synopsis adds.
The Times called the movie "a crime flick with a twist", adding that director and writer David Leon has a "feel for brooding atmos". However, it added that "lots of this is also derivative and ho-hum, enlivened only by a magnetic turn from Graham".

Time Out said Graham and co-star Michael Smiley are "both strong presences" in a "gloomy, atmospheric film", though HeyUGuys suggested that while the film "bears a lot of promise" it "just hasn’t got enough quality".
Orthodox was given a cinema release in 2016, though largely went under the radar at the time.
Graham has had quite a stellar year in 2025, co-creating and starring in Netflix's Adolescence, which earned him three Emmy awards.
In the wake of its success, the actor has unveiled a new book called Letters to Our Sons, which aims to "continue the conversation" around the themes of toxic masculinity that were explored in the show.
Graham and co-author Orly Klein are inviting "fathers from all walks of life and from around the world to draw from their own personal experiences, and to share advice and anecdotes, regrets and joys with their sons" for the project.
Orthodox is available to stream now on Prime Video.
