Nuremberg, the "thrilling" historical drama with an all-star "powerhouse" cast, has released a brand new trailer ahead of its UK cinema release next month. Marking the 80th anniversary of the Nuremberg trials, the film will arrive in UK cinemas on 14 November.
Directed by James Vanderbilt, the upcoming film stars Russell Crowe as Nazi leader Hermann Göring, with the new trailer offering a glimpse at Crowe's "haunting portrayal" of the infamous figure.
Based on Jack El-Hai’s book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, Nuremberg is inspired by the famous trials, which were held by the Allies against the defeated Nazi regime following World War Two.
Joining Crowe in the cast is Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek, who plays American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, the man tasked with evaluating the mental fitness of Nazi war criminals.
Rounding out the all-star cast are Michael Shannon, Richard E Grant, Leo Woodall, John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, and Wrenn Schmidt.

The synopsis reads: "The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson (Shannon), have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist (Malek) is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring (Crowe)."
Following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film received mixed reviews and currently has a score of 65% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Deadline described Nuremberg as "a thrilling chess match" between its two Oscar-winning leads, writing: "Dominating the film are the stunning performances of Crowe, truly immersing himself in one of his best, if most difficult, roles as the duplicitous Goring, and Malek, whose Kelley is the unsung hero of it all."
"Nuremberg remains one of strongest films I saw at TIFF in a sea of strong contenders: a riveting character study and courtroom drama, driven by powerhouse performances and wrapped into one slick package," wrote Shade Studios.
Screen Daily penned: "The characters may contain degrees of shading, but they rarely come to life, leaving Nuremberg feeling like a professional but dusty reenactment."
The Hollywood Reporter said: "Backed by a roster of powerhouse performances led by Russell Crowe, Rami Malek and Michael Shannon, the commanding production looks like it could be an award-season contender."
Nuremberg will be released in UK cinemas on 14 November.
