Strange Darling, the "unforgettable" serial killer thriller starring Willa Fitzgerald, has found a new streaming home in the UK.
The 2024 film, written and directed by JT Mollner, sees Reacher star Fitzgerald play an unnamed woman who engages in a game of cat and mouse following a "twisted" one-night stand that spirals into a serial killer's vicious murder spree.
Co-starring Kyle Gallner and Barbara Hershey, Strange Darling had a limited theatrical release, but genre fans can now get their share of thrills after the film was added to Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK.
Despite its relatively low profile and modest box office takings, Strange Darling received acclaim from critics, with the film currently boasting a near-perfect approval rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes from 157 reviews.
In our review of the film, we dubbed it the "best thriller of the year" that exerted a "vice-like grip" on viewers throughout its "unpredictable" story, with Fitzgerald being described as a "revelation" due to her "complex" performance.

Empire Magazine was similarly positive, writing: "You’ll think you know where this sun-baked serial-killer thriller is going, until you don’t. A nifty, chronologically crafty tale, fuelled by bravura acting by Willa Fitzgerald, it’s a small movie with high impact."
"Best experienced with as little foreknowledge as possible, Strange Darling demands a bit of patience, but it also rewards it," wrote Variety, while The Guardian said the "uncompromising" film was made with "lethal precision and discipline".

Upon its release, Fitzgerald shared with Digital Spy that the film was rewarding despite the "hard" production process, explaining: "There was a lot of things that we were running up against, but I think we were all propelled forward by wanting to tell this story.
"I think all of us would agree that even though it was so hard, it was also one of those jobs where you leave work every day and you're like, 'Whoa, we did something that was actually exceptional in some way'."
Strange Darling is streaming now on Sky Cinema and NOW.
