A 1990s dark comedy starring Christopher Eccleston has been added to a free streaming platform in the UK.

Released in 1994, Shallow Grave stars Eccleston, Ewan McGregor and Kerry Fox as three housemates sharing a flat in Edinburgh, and going to extreme lengths to bring in some extra cash.

Now streaming for free via Channel 4's on-demand platform, the "chilling" feature-length directorial debut of Danny Boyle (28 Days Later) sees the three protagonists looking for a fourth addition to their domestic community.

The trio welcome mysterious Hugo (Keith Allen), but are left stunned when the new flatmate dies and leaves behind a large suitcase full of money.

Chaos ensues as David (Eccleston), Juliet (Fox) and Alex (McGregor) decide to hold onto the money and dismember Hugo's body, despite none of them having any idea how to deal with it, or the mental toll it'll eventually take on them.
