James Bond's new bosses have shared an update about the "fresh" new movie they've got planned.

Amazon MGM Studios took creative control of the long-running spy franchise after Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli stepped away, and recently announced Amy Pascal and David Heyman to lead the series.

And it looks like the duo aren't wasting any time getting to work on new entries in the franchise.

Amazon MGM's head of Film, Streaming and Theatrical, Courtenay Valenti, and global marketing chief Sue Kroll took to the stage at CinemaCon and shared an update on Bond.

Valenti said (via Deadline): "We are committed to honoring the legacy of this iconic character, while bringing a fresh, exhilarating new chapter to audiences around the world alongside Amy and David.

"The whole series of James Bond, it was not my thing. It really wasn’t. I never liked James Bond. I never liked the way women were in James Bond."

"The whole concept of James Bond is drenched and born out of profound sexism," she added.
