Pierce Brosnan's Irish accent in crime drama MobLand hasn't convinced fans, despite the fact that he spent his childhood in Ireland.

The James Bond actor, who was born in Ireland, features in new series MobLand alongside Tom Hardy. The show has received positive reviews, though some viewers don't seem to be able to move past the characters' Irish accents, particularly Brosnan's.

On Instagram, one viewer branded the star's accent "atrocious" but praised the series as a whole.

"It's cringe worthy.. enjoyed the opener apart from that," the commenter also said in response to another viewer asking: "Where is he going with the 'Oirish' accent?"

"The Irish accents are terrible …. Apart from that it's a decent show," a third viewer offered, while a fourth branded the series "epic".
