Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt has teased details of the upcoming third film in the series, sharing that the story will come "full-circle".
The franchise, which first consisted of six television seasons, will seemingly conclude with its third feature film, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, which is due to be released in cinemas in September.
Whilst plot details are firmly under wraps for the film, Froggatt - who will reprise her role as Anna Bates - teased aspects of the narrative in an interview with Metro, sharing that the film will be a poignant conclusion for several characters.
"We come to the core of the family and the servants, what the future will be and looking back at where the family has got to now," said the actor, who appeared in all 52 episodes of the show. "It's a beautiful full-circle moment that it comes to at the end."
Whilst Froggatt didn't divulge any more details regarding the highly-anticipated film, the actor did reflect on her time with the series, sharing that a momentous night in 2014 - which saw her win a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress - will remain a career highlight.
