Prime Video has unveiled a first look at its upcoming crime comedy Deep Cover, starring Taskmaster's Nick Mohammed, Bryce Dallas Howard and Orlando Bloom.

The London-set film stars Howard as improv teacher and aspiring comedian Kat, who begins to question if she’s missed out on a chance at success until an undercover policeman offers her the role of a lifetime.

The role requires Kat, along with her two improv students Marlon (Bloom) and Hugh (Mohammed), to infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals. However, the trio soon find themselves in over their heads.

Prime Video has now released two new stills from the film ahead of its release on June 12, offering a first look at Kat, Marlon and Hugh in action as they walk through the streets of London with determined looks on their faces.

The second photo sees the trio gathered around a pool table that has stacks of cash on it, talking to who looks like a possible gang leader, played House of the Dragon's Paddy Considine.

Speaking to Empire, Deep Cover's co-writer Alexander Owen shed some more light on the film's three protagonists.

"Nick’s character is very much our audience's way in," he explained. "He’s a guy who's downtrodden at work. He's disrespected. He can’t make friends. He just goes to improv class as a way to gain some confidence and people skills.

"Orlando’s character is a super-intense method actor who’s using improv as a tool to develop characterisation and stay sharp.

"And Bryce’s character is the teacher of the improv class. So you've got three radically different approaches and levels of experience and priorities."

Deep Cover will be available to stream on Prime Video from June 12.
