Peter Capaldi's acclaimed British comedy In the Loop has landed a new UK streaming home.
The 2009 film acts as a spin-off to hit comedy series The Thick of It, and sees the Doctor Who star reprise his role as foul-mouthed spin doctor Malcolm Tucker as he heads to Washington DC and tries to keep a UK minister in check after an interview blunder.
After landing on Prime Video last year, the movie has now been released to stream on BBC iPlayer after airing on BBC Four last night.

In the Loop comes from director and co-writer Armando Iannucci, who oversaw the original The Thick of It, with Jesse Amstrong – who went on to create Succession – Simon Blackwell and Tony Roche also writing the screenplay.
The movie drew huge acclaim at the time of its release with a 94% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, The Hollywood Reporter calling it a "painfully funny satire of British and American bureaucrats in the days leading up to the Iraq War".

Rolling Stone added that In the Loop "proves that smart and funny can exist in the same movie", while The AV Club labelled it "mercilessly funny".

Alongside Capaldi, the movie stars The White Lotus' Tom Hollander, The Sopranos' James Gandolfini, Notting Hill's Gina McKee and Veep's Anna Chlumsky, while The Thick of It's Chris Addison also returns.
Following his turn as Tucker, Capaldi went on to star as the Twelfth Doctor in Doctor Who between 2014 and 2017, and spoke last year about why playing the Time Lord was "much more fun" than being himself.
"I was watching Tom Baker talking about something, and he said that when he was Doctor Who, he would do tons and tons of publicity and stuff, because being Doctor Who was much more fun than being Tom Baker, and I would say the same, probably – being Doctor Who is much more fun than being me," he told the Radio Times.
In the Loop is streaming now on BBC iPlayer.
