The first-ever live stage adaptation of The Hunger Games is coming to London this year – and tickets are on sale right now.
Performances of The Hunger Games: On Stage based on Suzanne Collins' award-winning book series and acclaimed film franchise will kick off on Monday, October 20, at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.

There are ticket pages for the show on Ticketmaster, LoveTheatre and TodayTix, but tickets are not currently available anywhere other than the official site.
The show has been adapted by multi award-winning playwright Conor McPherson and will be helmed by The Pillowman and 2:22 A Ghost Story's Matthew Dunster.
A synopsis for the show reads: "Based on the original Hunger Games story, this gripping tale of courage, defiance and unbreakable human spirit, follows the fearless heroine Katniss Everdeen on her journey of self-discovery, as she emerges as a beacon of rebellion and hope."

Collins said she was "thrilled" her beloved franchise was in the hands of McPherson and Dunster.
"Conor has done a fantastic adaptation, which is quite unique from the screenplay. And Matthew's immersive, dynamic staging gives the audience a brand-new way to experience the story," she continued in a statement.
Dunster assured that McPherson has delivered a "taut and dangerous play" similar to the works he is world-renowned for.
"Conor McPherson lifts the detail and power from the book and film and has provided us with the kind of taut and dangerous play he is renowned for," he said.
"He honours the young voice of Katniss Everdeen and puts her front and centre.
"We've been workshopping the play for over a year with our world-class creative team, carefully honing our theatrical vocabulary because we want to bring audiences something as impactful and edgy as Suzanne Collins' novel and as passionate and exciting as the movie. But we are going to do it in our own way - in the theatre.
"We want our Hunger Games to be uniquely, thrillingly theatrical."
McPherson opened up on his inspirations behind his stage adaption as a father, commenting: "As a dad to a teenager myself, it's especially gratifying working on a story whose values of resilience and moral courage speak to young people in these uncertain times.

It comes as Suzanne Collins’ latest Hunger Games novel, Sunrise on the Reaping, was released earlier this month.
The latest prequel book is set to be adaptated into a film by Lionsgate, slated for release on November 20, 2026.
The Hunger Games: On Stage comes to the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, London from Monday, October 20. Tickets are on sale now.
