Moana 2 has finally landed a Disney+ release date following its huge cinema run.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2016 classic hit the big screen last year, taking in a massive haul of over $1 billion by the end of its release.
It has now been revealed that the film will be getting its streaming release on Disney+ on March 12.

If you can't wait until then, Moana 2 is available to buy and rent digitally from the likes of Prime Video, iTunes and Microsoft Store.
The first Moana has proven to be a stellar success on Disney+, so we imagine the follow-up will also clock up huge views in the coming months.

As well as becoming the third highest-grossing movie of 2024 – behind Disney's own Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine – it also broke the record for biggest Thanksgiving opening in the US.
The Moana franchise is set to continue next year with a live action remake of the first movie, which will see Dwayne Johnson reprise his role as Maui, while Catherine Laga'aia will portray the titular character.
Back in December, Johnson responded to leaked set pictures from filming, which showed him wearing a bodysuit to achieve his character's physique.

"That's a suit that took a long time to put on," he told Extra TV. "So, I'm so happy you said, 'You bulked up,' because when you say, 'You bulked up,' that means you couldn't tell," he said.
"That is a couple of hours every day of transforming, putting that on. We shot outside and when those pictures surfaced, I was like, 'shit, we got caught', 'cause we were putting up walls so there was no paparazzi. But they got into boats and started shooting pictures. But I'm happy you liked it. I can't wait. The movie comes out in 2026."
Moana 2 will be released on Disney+ on March 12, and is also available to buy or rent from Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and more in the UK.
