Margot Robbie is set to bring classic board game Monopoly to the big screen with a film adaptation.
Announced at CinemaCon (per Deadline), the Barbie star's production company LuckyChap will produce the film alongside Hasbro Entertainment. Lionsgate is also attached to the project, which currently has no further plot, casting, or release date information.
Speaking in a statement, LuckyChap expressed their excitement to "bring this game to life".
"Monopoly is a top property – pun fully intended. Like all of the best IP, this game has resonated worldwide for generations, and we are so excited to bring this game to life alongside the wonderful teams involved at Lionsgate and Hasbro," they said.

Adam Fogelson, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair, added he "could not imagine a better production team" to head a Monopoly film.

Derived from 1903's The Landlord's Game, Monopoly has become an integral part of popular culture, spawning hundreds of spin-off editions and selling more than 275 million copies worldwide.

LuckyChap previously announced they are set to adapt another gaming franchise for the big screen - hit video game The Sims.
Loki's Kate Herron will direct and co-write the screenplay with Briony Redman, while Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and Sophia Kerr will produce. EA Games will be involved in the film in a creative and producing capacity.
LuckyChap has also produced Greta Gerwig's record-breaking Barbie, in which Robbie also starred in the title role, as well as Emerald Fennell's smash hit Saltburn starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, and Richard E. Grant.
Barbie is available to buy or rent in the UK from Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and more, as well as being available to watch on Sky Cinema in the UK and on Max in the US.
