Update: Good news fellow Luna Edition fanciers, the limited edition console is also coming to Europe. Sony has confirmed the release date as 29th November, the launch day of Final Fantasy XV.
The PS4 Slim, Luna Edition features a 1TB PS4 Slim, a DualShock 4 controller, and the Deluxe version of FFXV.
Original story: The time draws near to the release of Final Fantasy XV in November, and Square Enix has just announced a limited edition PS4 Slim in celebration of the impending date: the Luna Edition.
Where limited edition consoles tend to be brash and overstated, the Luna Edition is chic. It's outer casing is black with little more detail than the fine imprint of the moon and the iconic roman numerals.
Apparently the limited edition is inspired by a shot of Noctis looking up at the moon. Surprising that.
The Luna Edition will ship in Japan on the same day as Final Fantasy XV - November 29. There isn't yet any word on whether Europe will also get the opportunity to purchase.

If you're dying to get your hands on some FFXV memorabilia then you're better off setting your sights on the exorbitant (but available) Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition which can be pre-ordered from the Square Enix website. This is assuming that you're willing to splash £189 on a special edition which doesn't even feature any of the four forthcoming story DLC packs.
