Sony executives are being very honest when it comes to virtual reality, it seems.
As well as admitting PlayStation VR isn't up to the same technical standards as competitors, another chief at the company has now shared his surprise at Oculus Rift's price.
That feeling was shared by a fair few people when Facebook-owned Oculus announced its Rift headset would retail for £500 at launch - though it also didn't stop units from selling out quickly.
But Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Worldwide Studios, has admitted he was surprised by the price of the Rift, according to Polygon.

This could point in the direction of Sony's own PSVR being cheaper than that £500 - we would think that to be rather obvious, as the studio is aiming for a more affordable, mass market version of VR to get into as many homes with a PS4 as possible.

Elsewhere, we've recently seen the warnings begin to tumble out about virtual reality's suitability for kids - Sony itself stating under-12s shouldn't be using the PSVR headset.
We'll find out more about PlayStation VR next week at GDC.
