The Town of Light, a psychological thriller set in the now abandoned halls of a real asylum in Italy, will be heading to Xbox One. The game is already due to release on PC on February 26.
Putting you in the weary shoes of Renee, The Town of Light tells the story of her revisiting the abandoned shell of Volterra Asylum, the place where she was imprisoned during the 1930s, at the age of 16.
It's a very adult story, and one that's collated from real-life experiences, based on extensive research and interviews with professionals.
Even the place itself is a meticulous recreation of the real abandoned asylum in Volterra, Italy, the Unity-engine game capturing the essence of the place brilliantly, down to the way the paintwork now peels off the empty walls in its deserted halls.
"We are really excited to start working with Microsoft in bringing Renee's story to the Xbox audience. Thanks to the amazing support id@XBOX is giving to us since we enrolled in the program we already working to deliver the best possible experience," said Luca Dalco, creative director of LKA.
"The Town of Light impressed us with the incredible research made to create such a realistic experience and strong narrative. We are really looking forward to bring the game on our platform and extend the offer id@Xbox have available this year," added Agostino Simonetta, id@XBOX regional lead - EMEA.
There is currently no release date for the Xbox One version.
