In an attempt to get down with the kids, the FBI has made a browser-based game that's supposed to discourage 'violent extremism'.
How are they discouraging this? By getting teens to play Slippery Slope, a game where a goat slides downhill while avoiding different coloured squares.
Unfortunately it's so bad that you're likely to feel more violent after you play it.
Here's how the FBI describes its 'Don't Be a Puppet' website: "The site doesn't refute violent extremist beliefs point by point or discuss matters of faith or politics. Instead, it makes teens aware of the destructive reality of various forms of violent extremism, including hateful attacks based on race, religion, or other factors.
"Through its Don't Be a Puppet theme, the program encourages teens to think for themselves and display a healthy scepticism if they come across anyone who appears to be advocating extremist violence. "
So yeah, sliding a goat on rollerskates down a hill while avoiding coloured blocks will apparently sort all that out for you. Play it for yourself over here, if you want. Remember though: don't be a puppet.
