ABC has ordered four new hour-long pilots, including a thriller titled Kingmakers.
Pilot orders have also been placed for The Advocate, Boom and The Adversaries, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sallie Patrick's Kingmakers is an Ivy League-set thriller about a young man who infiltrates the university and an old secret society to find out how his sister died during her freshman year.
The Advocate centers on an entrepreneur who leaves behind a successful medical career, once a misdiagnosis opens her eyes to the hazards of the healthcare system.
It is being written by X-Men: First Class writer, Sheldon Turner, who is also an executive producer on the project.
Boom has been described as a modern spin on the Gold Rush, and will tell the story of an unprecedented oil discovery on US soil that triggers an economic explosion in North Dakota.
ER writer David Zabel will be penning legal drama The Adversaries. The story follows a patriarch of a New York legal dynasty taking the stand against his federal prosecutor daughter, when he ends up on the defense in his own trial.
