Scorpion, Madam Secretary and NCIS: New Orleans will also return for second seasons, the network's entertainment chairman Nina Tassler announced at the TCA winter press tour.

Scorpion is loosely based on real events and stars Elyes Gabel as genius hacker Walter O'Brien, while Tea Leoni leads political drama Madam Secretary as Elizabeth McCord, the new US Secretary of State.

NCIS: New Orleans is the latest iteration of the popular crime procedural franchise and stars Scott Bakula, Lucas Black and CCH Pounder.

Stalker stars Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q as detectives in the LAPD's Threat Assessment Unit who help protect victims of stalking.

CBS is the second network to confirm early renewals, following The CW's announcement that eight of its shows will return for additional seasons.
