Aquarius dramatises the story of Manson seducing Emma Karn (Emma Dumont) into a conspiracy that comes to involve her father.
David Duchovny plays a police officer who goes undercover in the Manson Family in order to break up their violent activities.
Friday Night Lights actor Grey Damon has been cast as Duchovny's on-screen law enforcement partner, reports TV Line.
Aquarius's 13-episode run is being overseen by Fastlane's John McNamara.
