For those of you without Netflix, The Sinner is going to air on BBC Four in the UK.

The channel has bought the repeat rights of USA Network's show, which originally aired in the UK on Netflix.

BBC Four's going to start broadcasting The Sinner soon, starting with the first season, starring Jessica Biel as Cora Tannetti and Bill Pullman as Detective Harry Ambrose.

Series one is a twisty-turny 'whydunnit' with a high concept. Young mother Cora is at the beach with her husband and son when something triggers her to carry out a completely unprovoked attack on a stranger, who she stabs to death in front of multiple witnesses.

After she's finished, she has no idea why. Stressed-out cop Ambrose is desperate to find out why the crime was committed before Cora is sent away for life. As the show progresses, the plot thickens.

The second season follows Ambrose as he returns to his hometown in rural New York to aid an old friend's detective daughter in investigating the murder of parents by their 11-year-old son.

Biel did not reprise her Golden Globe Award-nominated role as killer Cora in the second season, though she hasn't ruled out a return in the future.

"It's possible. It is, I think – so I think I can say that. Is it probable? I don't know," she said.

The Sinner season two is available to watch now on Netflix UK, and comes to BBC Four soon.
