Bomer, who also is fresh off a recurring role in Will & Grace, will be playing an expectant father named Jamie, relies on Ambrose for help in the aftermath of the horrific accident.

Season 3 of The Sinner will also bring back season 1 star Jessica Biel, but she's only announced as a producer thus far.

Biel previously said she feels "a lot of relief" to have left her tortured character Cora behind her, but refused to rule out returning on-screen at some point in The Sinner's future.
