Emily In Paris star Ashley Park has shared an exciting update for season five of the hit Netflix series.

The show's fourth season aired last year and left off with the titular Emily (Lily Collins) signing a contract to head Agence Grateau's Rome office, while finally declaring her love for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).

With season five teasing the star-crossed lovers finally running off in the sunset together as well as a location change, fans are eagerly anticipating a fifth season, which was confirmed back in September.

News on new episodes has been quiet since, until Mindy star Park revealed filming for season five is set to begin this summer (per People).

"Let me tell you, I am highly anticipating [Emily in Paris]... It's gonna be summertime and it's gonna be in Europe, but I don't even know what country at this point," she told the publication.

As for the potential plot, the Joy Ride star had less insights: "I wish I knew what was gonna be happening next, but the writers, you know, they kind of write as we go, and they see how the stories open up."

Despite a move to Rome being teased for Emily, Variety previously confirmed that filming will return to Paris for season five.

Some fans thought the season four cliffhanger seemed like the culmination of the show, but Gabriel star Lucas Bravo has said he isn't sure creator Darren Star knows when Emily In Paris will end.

"So, we will see. But I don't have the answers. I'm not even sure Darren [Star] knows where this is going to end."

He added: "I surely hope for Gabriel, rooting for my character, that he will get a happy, happy, romantic ending. He deserves to be loved."
