AMC has teased a potential crossover between Interview With A Vampire and Mayfair Witches.
The network's Anne Rice universe is currently in full swing, after both shows launched in the last few months.
Mayfair Witches, which began last Sunday (January 8) stars White Lotus actress Alexandra Daddario as Dr. Rowan Mayfair, a skilled neurosurgeon who discovers she's the heir of a long line of powerful witches known as the Mayfair dynasty.
Mark Johnson, the executive producer of both shows, revealed this week during AMC’s TCA press tour that there are "ongoing conversations" about a potential crossover.

"You’ll see a lot of connections, both in terms of characters and in terms of geography… I guess almost like Easter eggs. We very much want to tie the worlds together in a way that makes sense.

"Of course, they’re completely separate on the one hand, but thematically and in terms of how Anne Rice deals with character, we want to find a way to have that flow throughout the various shows."
He also hinted that there is one character who will appear in both shows, who will connect both storylines, but he has not named them yet.
The first season of Mayfair Witches will contain eight episodes that follow the plot of Rice's book The Witching Hour, which is part of a trilogy of gothic novels.
"Basically, the first season is the first book," added the producer. "We wanted to start with Rowan, and we wanted to follow her journey."

Mayfair Witches opened with mixed reviews from critics when it dropped last week, while Interview With A Vampire received widespread acclaim from critics and viewers when it was released in October.
A second season of Interview With A Vampire could be set to return as early as later this year, after AMC announced it had commissioned a second season before the first one had even aired.
In a statement, AMC's original programming chief Dan McDermott said: "The scope and breadth of this show, and what (showbosses Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones) have delivered, is just stupendous. They have rendered the rich and vibrant world of Anne Rice’s Interview in a wonderful way, and we’re incredibly proud."
Interview with the Vampire airs on AMC and AMC+ in the US. A UK broadcaster and release date has not been announced yet.
