Titans season 3 spoilers follow.

Titans' third season has wasted no time in adapting one of the most famous Batman comic book storylines, 'Death in the Family', killing off the Jason Todd incarnation of Robin.

The show then went straight into the 'Under the Hood' storyline, bringing Jason back as a crazed vigilante named Red Hood. The season's third episode saw him become of the show's biggest villains when he not only killed Hank, but did so by tricking Dawn into detonating the bomb that killed him.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jason actor Curran Walters said: "I think Jason, at that point, doesn't even know who he is. I think Jason is totally far gone. What he did to Hank is going to be really hard to come back from, and we get to explore Jason's emotions on that and how he feels regretful throughout the season."

Looking forward, episode 5 is going to be a biggie, delving into Jason's transformation, with Walters teasing that we will learn "what led [Jason] down this path of wanting to get rid of his fear."

Obviously, the word 'fear' is interesting here, as Scarecrow is another big villain in this series and making people totally afraid or completely fearless are kind of his thing.

Titans season 3 airs on HBO Max in the US. In the UK, the show streams on Netflix with no release date announced yet for season 3.
