Brenton Thwaites has discussed the possibility of a crossover between Titans and the upcoming film The Batman starring Robert Pattinson.

He plays Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing) in the DC Universe series, but with his character's close connection to the Dark Knight, does this open up the opportunity to dive into The Batman's cinematic sandbox?

In a recent Rotten Tomatoes Instagram interview, the star mused: "Me and R-Patz, side by side fighting crime... I think that the DC TV and movie world are still quite separate.

"This might be a chance for Matt Reeves, the director and DC film to integrate that somehow – I would love to do it but I don't think Titans is that property [to do so]."

"When I signed on to Nightwing, I was enquiring about a film because I was really inspired by [Christopher] Nolan's Batman and kind of in my brain I imagined doing this amazing Nightwing film.

"And there was one floating around, there was a film floating around at Warner Bros for a while."

Apparently, this unmade project was going to feature Ben Affleck's version of Batman, as Thwaites explained: "Someone my age against someone his age would've made a little bit more sense."

Titans airs on the DC Universe streaming service in the US, and on Netflix in the UK.
